Ingredients :
6 cups of water.
2 tablespoons of cooking oil.
1 large onion (diced).
1 large potato (diced).
1 carrot (diced).
1 cup of spinach leaves (trimmed).
1/2 head garlic (crushed).
1/2 a kilo of ground beef.
Procedure :
1. Heat your cooking oil, and saute onions until translucent, in a wok or casserole. (about two minutes) Add in garlic and saute until fragrant.
2. Saute ground beef until brown. Add potatoes, water, and carrots. Partly cover and let simmer until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. (about 10 to 15 minutes).
3. Add spinach leaves and heat through (about a minutes or two) or until leaves become bright green.

Ingredients :
4 cups of water.
2 beef broth cubes.
2 tablespoons of cooking oil.
1 cup of whole kernel corn (drained).
1 medium potato (diced).
1 small carrot (diced).
1 190-gram can of corned beef, (flaked).
1 tablespoon of garlic (chopped).
1 medium onion (chopped).
1/4 cup of celery (chopped).
Salt and pepper.
Procedure :
1. Heat the oil and saute onions, corned beef, and garlic in a large pan or casserole. Stir-cook for about two minutes.
2. Add carrots, celery, potatoes. Stir once.
3. Crumble broth cubes over the mixture.
4. Add corn and water.
5. Simmer for about 10 to 12 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve hot.
A nice quick and easy soup to make when you have unexpected guests.

Ingredients :
2 tablespoons of sugar.
2 tablespoons of parsley (chopped).

1 cup of tomatoes (diced).
1 cup of water.
1/2 cup of onions (diced).
1/2 a kilo of cod or any white meat fish (cut into cubes).
1/4 cup of fish sauce.
Procedure :
1. Simmer cod in water until cooked. Drain fish.
2. Combine cod, tomatoes, onions and parsley in a bowl and set aside while you make the dressing.
3. Mix lime juice, fish sauce, sugar, in a small bowl. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
4. After pouring the dressing on salad, toss the salad to coat well.
The citrusy-sweet dressing with fish sauce gives out a Vietnamese character to this meal. It makes a light but filling main course, or a delicious appetizer.

Ingredients :
8 to 12 green olives with pimiento (rinsed and chopped).
3 tablespoons olive oil.
3 tablespoons white balsamic vinegar or white wine vinegar.
2 184-gram cans albacore tuna in water(drained, solid, or chunk type tuna).
1 tablespoon small capers, rinsed, chopped.(optional)
1 16-oz can of small white beans (drained and rinsed)
Garlic powder to taste.
Pepper to taste.
1/4 cup of chopped cilantro leaves
Procedure :
1. Drain and transfer tuna to your bowl or container. Break apart with a fork until flaky.
2. Fold white beans into tuna.
3.Toss in cilantro with the tuna then add olives and capers.
4. In another bowl or container, combine olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Season to taste with garlic powder and pepper. Toss with tuna mixture.
5. Serve as sandwich filling or with salad vegetables.
The traditional way of serving canned tuna is to mix it with mayonnaise to make tuna spread, which is far from what we do in this quick and easy recipe. Olives, beans and capers add flavors to the tuna and make it a light and refreshing sandwich filling.
If you find that this is too salty, remove or lessen either the olives or capers. This should be eaten within a few days; otherwise, the oil and vinegar become absorbed in the tuna and the salad becomes dry.
Great for lunch, as a sandwich filling, or mixed together with other salads.

Procedure :
1. Simply toss together the ingredients in a large salad bowl or container.
Ingredients for the dressing :
1 8-oz bottle of rank dressing
1 1/2 teaspoons prepared wasabi
1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
Procedure :
1. Simple mix together all ingredients and then transfer to a small bowl with salad for serving.
Note : Adjust the amount of wasabi to suit your taste.
Kani (crab) and seaweed, common ingredients of a Japanese meal, prepare the palate for the onslaught of Wasabi flavor from the dressing. The Wasabi can sometimes be too strong for some people, so if you don't like spicy foods, use less Wasabi when preparing this quick and easy Asian salad.

1/2 cup of raisins
Procedure :
1. In your bowl, toss together pineapple tidbits, cucumbers, and raisins then blend in your salt, sugar, and mayonnaise. Chill for several hours.

Procedure :
1. Season your shrimp and chicken with salt and pepper then set aside.
2. Heat corn oil and saute garlic in a medium skillet until brown.
3. Add your chicken and saute until almost cooked.
4. Add your shrimp and stir fry until both shrimp and chicken are cooked fully. Remove from pan and let it cool.
5. In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, cucumber, parsley, tarragon, and celery. Fold in chicken and shrimp.
6. Season with salt and pepper.
7. Put in fridge for one to two hours, serve chilled.

1 bunch of celery stalks
1 medium carrot
1 medium cucumber

1. Cut all of the vegetables into two inch sticks.

Ingredients for the Salmon Dip :
1 tablespoon tomato ketchup.
1 213-gram can of pink salmon. (drained)
1/2 cup sour cream.
1/4 cup chopped onion.
Salt and pepper.
Procedure for the Dip :
1. Pick off any pins and bones from the Salmon.
2. Using your food processor or blender, mix/blend the salmon, ketchup, onion, and sour cream. Mix/blend until texture of the dip turns into a smooth paste. Add salt and pepper.
3. Serve with vegetables.

Ingredients :
Cooking oil.
1 825-gram can fruit cocktail, drained.
1 cup of all-purpose flour.
1 egg, lightly beaten.
1 cup mayonnaise.
1/2 kilo fish fillets, sliced into 1 1/2-inches of cubes (preferably mahi-mahi).
1 1/4 teaspoons salt.
1/3 cup condensed milk.
Procedure :
1. In a pan, heat about 1 inch cooking oil.
2. Sprinkle salt all over fish cubes.
3. Dredge fish cubes in flour. Shake off excess flour. Dip cubes in egg, then in flour again.
4. Fry in until golden in hot oil. Transfer into a shallow container after draining oil. (Use paper towels to remove any excess oil)
5. Mix mayonnaise and condensed milk in a bowl. Combine fruit cocktail. Toss fish cubes with the mayonnaise fruit cocktail dressing.
For this recipe I used a mahi-mahi fillet, which was very tender and had no pins and bones attached to the fillet The sauce is sweet and creamy, with the fruits giving even more sweetness to the salad.

Ingredients for the sweet and sour vinaigrette dressing :
2 1/2 cups of apple cider vinegar.
2 1/2 cups sugar.
2 1/2 teaspoons sliced garlic.
2 1/2 teaspoons sliced ginger.
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste.
Procedure :
Simply mix together the dressing ingredients in a glass or stainless steel pot (do not use aluminum). Boil for 5 minutes without stirring then lower heat and simmer until syrupy (about 15 minutes or so)
Ingredients for the salad :
1 cup white onions, cut into 1/8" strips, with the grain.
1 582-gram can bamboo shoots, cut into 1"x2" width x 1/8" thick slices, lengthwise (2 cups).
1 cup sweet red or green pepper, cut into thin strips (thicker than julienne).
1-2 cups cucumber rounds (1/4" thick circles. Seeds may be removed if desired).
1 head Chinese cabbage, cut into 1-inch slices, leaving the width of the leaves as is, to make around 6-8 cups.
Procedure :
1. Prepare the vegetables while the vinaigrette dressing is simmering.
2. In your container of choice, arrange the vegetables in the following order, first ingredients to add (bottom) to last (top): onions, bamboo shoots, sweet peppers, cucumbers, and finally the Chinese cabbage.
3. Take some of your vinaigrette dressing, while still boiling, and pour all over the vegetables. With a weighted plate, press the vegetables down until the cabbage leaves are wilted.
4. Until the sweet and sour dressing cools, leave at room temperature. (may take about one hour) If the bowl overflows, just discard some of the liquid. This dish is best served after being refrigerated overnight, but you may also serve immediately.
5. Toss salad to mix ingredients together before serving. Once prepared, this will make for a good quick and easy salad for those of you who wants meals in a hurry.

Simply put all the vegetables in a bowl or bowl, preferably stainless steal, glass, or porcelain. Set aside until needed.
Ingredients for the sweet and sour vinaigrette dressing :
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon sliced ginger
1 teaspoon sliced garlic

Procedure :
1. Mix the dressing ingredients in a glass or stainless steel bowl/pot (do not use aluminum) Boil for five minutes over medium heat without stirring. Lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Note: if preparing a larger serving, cook longer to evaporate most of the acid from the vinegar.
2. While still hot, pour over the salad. Serve straightaway or marinate at least overnight in the fridge. this keeps well for a week and is ideal as a quick siding for main dishes.
The beans absord the dressing nicely, giving each serving of beans that sweet and sour taste. For those not used to eating beans, the familiar taste of the dressing may help them get acquainted with the flavor and texture of these assorted beans. (optional) 1/2 table spoon tomato paste to add some tartness to the sauce.
2 table spoons hoisin sauce.
2 table spoons light soy sauce.
2 table spoons oyster sauce.
Procedure :
Simple enough, combine all ingredients in a small bowl or container, mix, then set aside.
Ingredients for vegetables and tofu :
Water (for boiling).
1/2 a kilo of tender green beans.
2 tablespoons of cooking oil.
1 tablespoon of julienned ginger.
1 tablespoon of crushed and chopped garlic.
3 stems scallions, including white part (finely sliced).
300 grams ground pork or ground chicken.
(optional) Red Chili paste.
6 firm tofu squares, cut into bite sized pieces (9-10 cubes per square).
2 tablespoons sesame oil.
Procedure :
1.Prepare your vegetables. Boil your water, and while waiting you should remove the strings from your beans.
2 Drop beans in boiling water, cook for 3 minutes or until crisp/tender. Immediately rinse with cold water to stop the cooking. Drain the beans.
3. In a wok, heat cooking oil and saute ginger, garlic and scallions until fragrant (around one minute). Add ground meat, cook just until brown. (around two minutes)
4. Add 1/3 of the prepared sauce to coat the meat. Continue cooking for 5 minutes over medium heat, then stir in the remaining sauce. Add chili paste if desired.
5. Gently mix in the tofu and heat through for 2 minutes. Add the cooked green beans and sesame oil and gently toss the mixture, taking care not to break the tofu. Serve over steamed rice.
The combination of hoisin sauce and oyster sauce makes this a truly Asian dish. The ground chicken meat which is well-flavored with the sauce is mixed evenly with the green beans and the tofu so that each bite carries with a good amount of flavor. It's a one-dish meal that is complete with vegetables, meat, and tofu, the last two being good sources of protein.
Note : You can make the sauce using 1:1:1 soy sauce : oyster sauce : hoisin sauce. Keep prepared mix in fridge to make cooking this recipe and other chinese meals a breeze.

Hi there, thank you for visiting my free recipes blog. Since you're here, you were probably looking for a place to get free recipes online, well you found it! This free recipes blog will contain hundreds of free recipes on almost all types of food.
Today is January, beginning of 2009. Expect to see hundreds, if not thousands of free cooking recipes before the year is over.
To start things off, I'll start with my "quick and easy recipes", some of my favorites and most commonly used recipes because of my work schedule in real life (and I like to diet, so expect lots of salads).
